My Head is Disconnected

Sounding Here comes to MOIRA for an evening of experimental music, dance, theatre, and performance. Bringing together artists who move between disciplines, this edition places Otto Rissanen’s de Construct in dialogue with Vicky Itsiou’s My head is disconnected. Across the programme, sound, movement, and theatricality meet in works that play with structure, transformation, and the unexpected.

Sounding Here creates a space for fresh collaborations, new work, and art that lives somewhere between concert and performance. The evening is hosted by Sounding Here founder and curator Christine Cornwell.

Otto Rissanen — de Construct
de Construct is a bold, surreal excavation of identity, asking what we must tear down in order to build something true through a hybrid of free jazz, American minimalism, and in-your-face theatre. It is performed by a seven-piece ensemble whose members don’t just play music—they move, act, and embody the work’s emotional arc on stage. A love child of David Lynch and Yorgos Lanthimos, the work challenges not only your sense of self—but also the very boundaries of musical performance.

Vicky Itsiou — My head is disconnected
My head is disconnected is an improvised performance of piano, bass and movement. It creates a world that feels predictable, yet constantly forgets itself. Shapes shift and slip out of reach. Familiar actions are introduced, then begin to impersonate something else.
