Moira Film Club

We’re very excited to announce The Pictures Film Club — a monthly film screening held on the last Thursday of every month in the Moira Zaal.

Expect films that invoke all the feels. We’re here for cinema with substance — something you can really chew on. Think epic period pieces, screwball comedies, psychological thrillers, lush Technicolor palettes, thrashy practical effects, indie darlings, panoramic spectacles, and raw DIY aesthetics.

We won’t reveal the title in advance — only hints. Trust us.

For the second edition, we will be showing a hopeful, powerful and political story of a woman who stands out not just for herself, but for her entire community. The casual but cool fashion and the to-die-for hair of the main character in this 70s gem are worth seeing it for. If you stand with unions, stand against the exploitation of workers of any kind, and want to see a woman fight for her liberation, this is a film for you.
