Sloops consists of five young musicians. They started out as a fusion between a blues rock project and a jazz/funk experiment. The chemistry worked better than they could have ever imagined and turned out to be fertile ground for something unique. Sloops likes to colour outside the lines. In terms of sound, the band delivers a simmering mix of grooves, a raw edge of rock and the occasional touch of harmonic jazz. They describe it themselves as progressive funk. Danceable, but in a completely unique way. The band is constantly searching for a distinctive sound, without losing sight of accessibility to a broad audience.In 2025, they will release their debut album, which they recorded entirely themselves, and will tour the country to promote it.
