Ineptitude / Coaster / Karnabahar

Band night / loud / slowcore

Loud music for sad bastards. Originally a bedroom project, now a ferocious four-piece band, Ineptitude makes an intoxicating and cathartic mixture of slowcore, emo and noise rock. Their upcoming second EP, The Distance We’ll Never Cross, sees them settling into a sound that is at once heavier and more vulnerable than ever.

Coaster is the Utrecht-based folky slowcore project fronted by Bart Appel and Paul Dijkman. The duo, primarily guitarists, quickly bonded over their shared love for quiet and slow music. Taking influence from the lo-fi and slowcore acts of the 90s and 00s, they capture memories and atmospheres and convert them into intimate dream pop. Their melancholy music is all about resilience and appreciating the little moments in life. Live they’re joined by Stephan de Hoop on drums and Kyon Edelenbosch on bass.

Karnabahar has been performing their multicultural blend of folk music from their countries of origin and old-school 90s/00s screamo (think Orchid, Louise Cyphre and La quiete) since 2022. With members from Turkey, Argentina, England and the Netherlands, they make heartbreaking songs that go from soft to hard so quickly that you get emotional whiplash.
